My previous attempts

As I explained before, I started my writing journey backwards. In 2014 I had an idea for a book, wrote it and self-published it. It was that simple-or was it? I naively thought that once I had written it then the rest was plain sailing. I had no idea what tangled web lay ahead of me. This was a new world that I found myself in. I was lost and still to this day I am struggling to navigate my way through it with a dodgy compass!

I self edited my book and got my friend to design the cover. It was only after I released it on Amazon that I stumbled on the many Facebook groups.  After reading many threads, I understood where I had gone wrong and why my book wasn’t selling. I needed to get people to review it-but how?

Eventually, again through the many helpful people on Facebook, I started to get my book read and reviewed; even if some people didn’t like it.

Don’t get me wrong, my book received some positive reviews, but I know it is not perfect and that it still needs work. I decided to put it all down to a valuable learning experience and move on. I wrote a sequel and left it at that.

I have now finished my third book. I have paid to have it edited and I am now in the process of finding someone to design my cover. This is a challenge in itself!

I think my writing style has improved and I do honestly believe that this book is a lot better than the other two.

If you would like to read my first two books, I would be interested in your opinion.

They are available to buy on http://www.amazon.co.uk and http://www.smashwords.com
